From the President,
Hello all, hard to believe another year has come to an end and the horseshoe pitching season is officially right around the corner. I hope you all were able to spend the holidays with your loved ones and that all your wishes came true as we rung in the New Year! As we approach this upcoming pitching season I implore all of you to try and get someone hooked! One of my favorite things about this sport is not only catching up with all of you and swapping stories, BUT seeing many new faces who can share our love for this game. If any of you have any ideas on how to increase membership please feel free to call, text, email, or talk to me in person as I am all EARS when it comes to membership increasing. I think if we can all work together and have a common goal in mind, we could accomplish many things. If we could each bring one new face to this sport Nebraska would have one of the largest memberships to date and I think that is something we could all be proud of! So get out, recruit, have fun, and keep pitching those ringers my friends. I hope to see you and a bunch of new faces out on the courts!

Happy new year. It’s hard to think about horseshoes, as we are still digging out from a 15-inch snowstorm. We do welcome the moisture. Horseshoe season will be here soon, and I hope everyone can get to lots of tournaments. The more people that come to pitch makes it more fun. If you have somebody you think belongs in the hall of fame, contact me and we can get the paperwork done. Nominations need to be in by July 1. Hope to see friends out pitching this summer

Hello everyone, hope things are going well for you all!
The Omaha Indoor season is in full swing and going well! These tournaments are a lot of fun, and great practice for all ages and skill levels. It's a good way to keep your game steady during the Winter months. They happen about every other weekend, November through March.
There's been a lot more interest and some new faces pitching this year! With these tournaments becoming more and more popular, I encourage all pitchers to pre-register ahead of time to be guaranteed a spot!
I look forward to seeing everyone soon with the outdoor season coming up fast this Spring & Summer! It will be nice to be enjoying the great outdoors once again.
Attached is a tentative 2023 "fun tournament" schedule. If anybody wants to add a tournament or update any changes to the current schedule, feel free to contact me. You can also find a list of the NHPA sanctioned tournaments on horseshoepitching.com under the Eshoe tab.
The World Tournament is in Lansing, Michigan this Summer. I hope there will be many Nebraska pitchers there to help represent our State, and to enjoy the World Tournament experience!
Our annual State Tournament will be held in Columbus (August 25th - 27th) at Pawnee Park. It's a nice location and I hope to see a good turnout of pitchers traveling there to compete at State!
I want to thank everybody for showing up on time to tournaments, and for playing fair with good sportsmanship. If running late, please contact the tournament director so they know what's going on. It's also much appreciated to those who come early to help get pits ready, or stay later to help pick up afterwards. It really helps the tournaments run smoothly by working together!
Let's help build up our membership and fill the courts this year! Bring a friend or family member along with you. Enjoy the lifetime sport of horseshoe pitching, and each other's company as well!
Best of luck and many ringers to everybody!!

Hello and Welcome to the start of the 2023 season of horsepitching in Nebraska. I hope you all had a wonderful holiday season. This year for myself is still kind of in question on how many tournaments that you will see me at, But I hope to make It to a few more than last year. As some of you may know my wife Patricia is down with cancer and it is still an issue with care. I will get out more this year (doctor’s orders) just to relieve the stress. As the third Vice President, I’m in charge of overseeing the Facebook page and the charter website. I had a hard time with doing that last year, But this year will be a lot better. First of all the Facebook page is on track with the help of Cole Pearson. He is the added Admin and has been doing a great job with keeping up with the photos and information out there during the tournaments. Information from the state to information from other states are on the Facebook page. Nebraska horseshoe pitching Check it OUT.
As I am writing this year greetings to you, I am also working on update the Nebraska Charters website. I am adding new photos and updating the looks of the page. I will add in a section for tournament results and to keep me active, a monthly list of tournaments held in the state. (Some are not listed on E-shoe). So if you are a tournament director or someone that knows of a tournament that will be going on and is not sanctioned, please let me know and I will post in on the website and Facebook. On the other hand if you have one to be cancelled also let me know and I will post it on the Facebook. This website for those that don’t know covers both Nebraska Charters East and West side of the state.
So in ending, I hope to see all of you sometime at one of the many tournaments that will held in the state this year. I hope you have a fun and awarding summer playing the game. If you have any questions or ideas about the website or Facebook page and you would like to suggest feel free to contact me.

Your Third Vice President
